Hello --
Tomorrow is the primary. Electionactivities have been a little different lately and there's a couple of thingsto know for tomorrow.
1) Make sure your absentee ballot ispostmarked June 23rd at the latest so it's considered valid.
2) Some people haven't received theirabsentee ballots yet. If you requested an absentee ballot and haven't received it, you can still vote in person. You might have to think about whether you want to vote inperson. Early voting has been quite empty so tomorrow might be as well; wedon't know.

3) Because of Covid-19, some pollsites have changed, so please double-check your poll site before leaving yourhouse to vote. https://nyc.pollsitelocator.com/search

4) New York City entered Phase 2 ofreopening today. Playgrounds, outdoor dining, hair salons/barbershops, andother business will be open as well as the Polls. There are still restrictionson capacity and social distancing; we still need to wear masks to prevent asecond wave and keep ourselves safe.

5) Presidential Candidates &Delegates: On the ballot, you vote for a presidential candidate and forup-to-eight delegates. Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, Joseph R. Biden, TulsiGabbard, Bernie Sanders, Michael R. Bloomberg, Tom Steyer, Michael Bennet,Elizabeth Warren, Andrew Yang, Deval Patrick will appear on the ballot. All ofthem, except Biden, have dropped out and endorsed Biden. Several candidateschose to stay on the ballot, while others simply couldn’t be removed byelection law.

Each candidate has a slate of sevendelegates to the convention in each congressional district. Only Presidentialcandidates who get at least 15% of the votes in a Congressional district areeligible to elect delegates in that district. Delegates are awardedproportionally based on the percentage of votes each eligible candidate gets ina district. Once it is determined how many delegates in a district a candidategets, the delegates for that candidate who get the most votes are elected, except that there can't be a disparity of more than one in the number of maleand female delegates elected for each candidate in each district.

6) Broadway Democrats’Endorsements

Representative in Congress (10): Jerrold L. Nadler was endorsed

Representative in Congress (13): Adriano Espaillat was endorsed

State Senator (31): Robert Jackson was endorsed

State Senator (30): Brian A. Benjamin is uncontestedand will not appear on the ballot

Member of the Assembly: Daniel J.O'Donnell is uncontestedand will not appear on the ballot

We didn’t endorse for thepresidential race. Our endorsement meeting was scheduled for March 12th and wedecided to cancel it, thinking we’d be able to reschedule it in a few weeks. Inthe meantime, we ended up with only one presidential candidate.

7) After the primary:Broadway Democrat’s committee, Go Blue 2020 has already begun campaignactivities and their plans will ramp up after the primary. Please contact us ifyou’re interested in working to take back the White House and the Senate, andto expand Democratic majorities in the House.
