Featured product: Expansion joints
------------------------------------------------------

Hard metal pipes aren't particularly forgiving of things like
mis-alignment or the vibrations caused by the abrupt starting or
stopping of equipment like pumps. Nor do those pipes like to give way
when walls, floors, and foundations settle and try to take things out of
alignment.

This lack of "give" can often be accommodated and even overcome by the
use of expansion joints, which are rubberized connection pieces.
Expansion joints commonly help isolate piping from the rattling and
vibrations that can occur when pumps start up and shut down. They can
also be used on dry-product applications when the products have some
fluid properties.

The use of rubber in a select few locations within a hard-piped system
can offer the flexible properties needed to keep rigid pieces from
breaking, without sacrificing the durability offered generally through
the use of metals.
