Featured product: Wastewater samplers
------------------------------------------------------

Many people are familiar with wastewater samplers that use peristaltic
pumps to draw the sample into the measuring chamber before depositing
the sample into either a composite sample chamber or one of a series of
sequential sampling bottles. But peristaltic pumps create a maintenance
nuisance by requiring that the sample tubing be replaced regularly --
and they change the nature of the sample as they bend and crush it as it
is drawn into the sample chamber.

Instead of using unreliable peristaltic pumps for sampling, a much
better approach is to use a vacuum pump to create a powerful suction
inside the sample chamber itself. This approach can meet and exceed the
suction capacity delivered by a peristaltic pump, while eliminating the
maintenance hassles and leaving the sample itself unchanged from the
point it enters the hose to the point it is deposited inside the
container. We're pleased to be able to offer just such a type of
wastewater sampler through QCEC.
