The ISNS School Project - Information Update
If there’s been something that people all around this planet has said for years while and after they learn NLP and Meta-States it is this:
“This is the stuff they ought to teach in schools!”
“Why don’t we teach these essential skills to our kids?”
“My dream is to find a way to get NLP and APG into the school system!”
Then in 2009 in South Africa, these ideas came to a fruition as numerous Meta-Coaches along with Nizam Kalla (a Meta-Coach) and CEO of AMKA decided to actually do something about it. We began “The School Project.” \
Today, under the auspices of the ISNS (International Society of Neuro-Semantics), the non-profit educational organization that governs and licenses Meta-Coaches and Neuro-Semantic NLP Trainers around the world, The School Project began as a project to create a self-leadership training for school-age children as a one-hour study each week for a whole school-year and for every year from grade one to grade 12.
To translate basic NLP and APG (an Introduction of Meta-States Model) into a Self-Leadership Program for children, Licensed Meta-Coaches began working on this project. Eventually Marina and more recently myself (Jody) took the hands-on leadership supported by the Meta-Coach Trainers, Cheryl and Carey, with some guidance from Michael, and gathered a team of 25 people to create this massive set of materials ---
A volume for a Self-Leadership Program for children from grade 1 to 12.
To continue the development of this transformational program, a Non-Profit organization is being set up in South Africa with officers or trustees to handle this Educational Contribution of the ISNS. This ISNS School Project Organization will guide the development as it is completed in South Africa and as we make it available to Schools, Education Coaches, and others throughout the world.
Update on curriculum
Currently the first 8 sessions (NLP Communication Model) of all the grades have been completed and sent to Michael for feedback, these sessions are currently being updated after this process. The teams are currently developing the lessons from the first 7 APG patterns and is estimated to be completed by the end of August, with the next 8 APG patterns to be completed by end November.
Steps going forward
With all the lessons being completed as a first draft by the end of 2011, the planned pilot studies are to start in January 2012. Once this process has been completed the School Project will be made available internationally. In the meantime we are to train teachers and create all the necessary benchmarks to measure our effectiveness and standards.
To your highest and best
