Re: History of NLP series

As you know, I've been writing a series of Meta Reflections here on Neurons
about the History of NLP (13 so far, 10 is on the website,
www.neurosemantics.com). And more will be coming. I recently sat down with
Frank Pucelik at the NLP Conference in London as well as Dr. Martin Roberts
and so will be writing more about that. I have also read the history that
Paul Tosey and Jane Mathison wrote in their book, NLP: A Critical
Appreciation. (2009).

One of the big missing parts of the history is when and who brought NLP to
various countries. I have heard of some of that --- who took NLP to Hong
Kong and when; to England, to France, etc. So if you know some of this, I'd
like to hear what you know and then put together what I hear. By putting it
into writing, then those who know some more can contribute to that thereby
expanding what all of us know.

So --- if you are outside the USA and know at least some about your country,
when, where, and who brought NLP to your country . please write to me
privately (see below). As I receive this, I'll make this some of the future
Meta Reflections on the History of NLP.

And in the meantime, I'm writing an anthology of the History of NLP with
Wyatt Woodsmall and many others. But more about that later.

The NLP Conference in London

What Jo Hogg has done for 23 years and what David Bowman and the people at
Crown House Publications is now continuing is truly a great and powerful
contribution to this field. From what I heard from dozens and dozens of
people is that this year's conference was the best ever--- and not because
of the presenters and their fabulous presentations - but because of the
sense of community that was generated there. A big Meta High Five to CHP
and Jo Hogg for what they have done! There were over 400 at the Conference
(and 200 more at the Education Conference the day previous to the
conference.)

I got to present the advanced Well-formed Outcome process developed in
Meta-Coaching and also the newly developed Self-Actualization Assessment
Scale. We had 4 Meta-Coaches at the Conference and 2 Neuro-Semantic
Trainers (Steve Long and Geoff Dowell). It was sad not to have Colin Cox
and Lena Gray there this year--- but they will be back.

Neuro-Semantics Revisits England

It has been 5 years since I've trained in England. This year however Joe
and Melody Cheal launched out to host me at Bedfordshire for Unleashing
Potentials. Now Joe has just taken on a whole new role as Editor of a brand
new journal in NLP, Acuity which fills the gap left by the ending of NLP
World, Anchor Point, and many other journals. (I'm going to write more
about this next week.) What I loved about the training was that we had a
highly informed group so that allowed us to really dive into the exploration
of the processes for unleashing potentials. And more will be coming next
year.
