re: Countdown to Launch Day

If you didn't get to a Neuro-Semantic Trainings in 2007 then you may not know about the latest things that we're planning. Who's we? Well, Neuro-Semantic Trainers around the world. So what are we up to?

We are up to launching a new Human Potential Movement.

The date for the launch: the merry month of May, 2008.

During May there were be a dozen, two dozen, possibly three or even four dozen Certified Neuro-Semantic Trainers presenting the Ultimate Self-Actualization Workshop in 20 or more countries. That's our launch date. Others will be presenting a One-Day Seminar on the newest developments of Self-Actualization in Neuro-Semantics and yet others will be speaking at Conferences on the Self-Actualization of Neuro-Semantics.

In March and April of 2008 Press Releases will be going out about this about the newest developments of Abraham Maslow's original work in modeling psychologically healthy people. 45 years before Bandler and Grinder were even around to think about modeling expertise in highly skilled people, Maslow set out to model the best human specimens. After modeling hundreds of people he found a pattern that he called as the highest of human needs, the need to become everything one can become, that is, to self-actualize.

In that modeling process, Maslow initiated a whole new psychological paradigm ("the third force" in psychology) and launched a movement that came to be called the Human Potential Movement. Then, over the years, he along with Carl Rogers, Rollo May, Viktor Frankl, and many, many others led that movement. Within that movement there was Fritz Perls of Gestalt, Virginia Satir of Family Systems, and Gregory Bateson. In fact, the Human Potential Movement was one thing that they all had in common-besides all working at Esalen. And that was many years before there was any NLP.

But the movement did not last. By the 1990s it had disappeared from public awareness. And there's lots of reasons for that. Yet more than the reasons for its demise, is the spirit of the times that is now ready for a more mature and well-formed Human Potential Movement. In fact, it is now time for a new movement starting where Maslow left off and correcting for the mis-steps. And that's what we're doing.

Launch a New Human Potential Movement?

Yes, this will raise some questions and even those in the media will be questioning what we're up to.

C What happened to the first Human Potential Movement?

C Why a New Human Potential Movement?

C What is the movement?

C Who's involved?

C What is its design, vision, and mission?

C Whose involved in this?

C What do they have to offer that's new?

Having finished a good bit of traveling in 2007 to help create some of the foundation for this, I presented the Ultimate Self-Actualization Workshop to 345 people in the USA, Australia, Mexico, South Africa, Switzerland, London, France, and Italy and presented it to another 290 people in various conferences and things. That was my little part to get things going. Numerous other trainers and even many Meta-Coaches have been presenting the Self-Actualization Quadrants based on the Meaning/ Performance Axes many times -in board rooms, to training companies, at Conferences.

The foundation model for the newest development of Maslow's Self-Actualization Psychology is the Meaning/Performance Axes. It is from these axes that the Neuro-Semantic Self-Actualization Quadrants arose. This corresponds to the most basic premises of Neuro-Semantics, namely, to our 3-fold vision/ focus (see www.neurosemantics.com front page).

If you feel that any of this is an inspiring vision, then you can read more about it on the Self-Actualization websites (www.self-actualizing.org www.self-actualising.org). You'll find more about it in the new book, Unleashed: A Guide to Your Ultimate Self-Actualization. And in March, the 2008 book will be available, Self-Actualization Psychology.

If your background is Neuro-Linguistic Programming, then within all of this is "the secret history of NLP" -namely, that NLP is a child of the first Human Potential Movement and never knew it. And the field of NLP still does not know it! Yet every time I have presented the history, NLP Trainers respond, "Of course! Why didn't I think of that?!" Those are the precise words which Charles Faulkner said to me a few weeks ago in London at the NLP Conference.

In the past three years we have increasingly been positioning Neuro-Semantics as within the larger framework of actualizing one's highest and best. Discovering this has opened up a great many new understandings and is leading to a whole new direction. In the new year and thereafter, we will be focusing on Self-Actualization Psychology and what it means for creating Self-Actualizing Companies and Self-Actualizing Leaders.

In 2008 the second Self-Actualization Workshop will be conducted in a few places. The title of it is: Creativity and Innovation- Unleashing Your Creative Potentials workshop.

Do you have more to actualize in your own life? In your health, career, relationships? Do you sense that and are you ready to take action to experience more unleashing? If so, stay tuned to this channel. There's a lot more coming!
