GO BLUE 2018



Hi, we're the Broadway Democrats’ Go Blue 2108 committee.  This is the
first of the weekly emails we'll be sending to suggest ways to support
Democratic candidates in races both close-by and far away, with the
eventual goal of flipping the House of Representatives and the US Senate to
Democratic control.



For the next few months, we'll be highlighting candidates in "special"
Congressional elections.  The next of these will be in Kansas, for the seat
formerly occupied by Republican Mike Pompeo (who’s now Director of the
CIA).  Voting is April 11th – NEXT TUESDAY.



The Democratic candidate is James Thompson.  His campaign states that he is
currently running neck and neck in early voting.  This is very good news,
in what is a more traditionally Republican district.



The Go Blue 2018 committee suggests that we support James Thompson.  His
campaign committee is thrilled to have support from NYC.  They suggest
three ways to help:

·        phone banking – go to http://www.votejamesthompson.com/phonebank for
everything you'll need to make calls (and yes, out-of-staters are welcome
to help!)

·        social media posts – post your support to Twitter, Facebook, etc.

·        donating money – go to http://tinyurl.com/Thompson-donate
