[BwayDems] MONDAY, 9/29 PUBLIC HEARING RE NEW PROPOSED SUCCESS ACADEMY CHARTER IN DISTRICT 3

Dear Neighbor,

Following the receipt of letters from the Community School District 3
Community Education Council and myself, the Department of Education has
agreed to postpone the hearing regarding two new proposed Success Academy
locations, one in District 3 and one in District 2.

While both letters requested that two separate hearings be scheduled, and
that each be located within the relevant district, these requests were not
accommodated. However, the date been rescheduled to enable concerned
families to prepare and arrange their schedules to attend. 

The rescheduled hearing will be held on:

Monday, September 29, 2014
Speaker Sign-in 5:30pm
Presentation, questions, and comments begin at 6:00pm
333 Seventh Avenue (between 28th and 29th Streets, on the east side of the
street)
Seventh Floor Conference Room

Those who are unable to attend can submit comments by email
(charterschools at schools.nyc.gov) or fax (212-374-5760) within 48 hours of
the hearing's close.
