 - Halloween movie & activities tomorrow at PS132
 - revised street closure around the GWB Bus Station for construction
 - Above the Bridge Writers' Cafe on Monday

 - Shakespeare event at the Inwood Library next weekend
 - Holiday market sale on Nov. 23rd

1) *The Nightmare Before Christmas* Movie plus storytelling, book
giveaways, games, live entertainment, pumpkin carving, arts & crafts,
snacks, awards for best costume, and more! Activities start at 5:30pm;
movie begins at 6:45. At PS132, the Juan Pablo Duarte School (185
Wadsoworth Ave.) Co-sponsored by the Book Fairy Project and Creating a

October 31st, 5:30 – 8:30pm. *


2) *Revised Street Closures for GWB Bus Station Construction *Per the
developer, Fort Washington Avenue will NOT be closed this week. Fort
Washington will close nightly during the week for 2 weeks starting on 11/5.
The closures are revised as follows:

Wednesday, 11/5 from 1 AM to 5 AM
Thursday, 11/6 from 1 AM to 5 AM
Friday, 11/7 from 1 AM to 5 AM
Saturday, 11/8 from 1 AM to 5 AM

Tuesday, 11/11 NO CLOSURE: VETERAN’S DAY
Wednesday, 11/12 from 1 AM to 5 AM
Thursday, 11/13 from 1 AM to 5 AM
Friday, 11/14 from 1 AM to 5 AM
Saturday, 11/15 from 1 AM to 5 AM

Tuesday, 11/18 from 1 AM to 5 AM
Wednesday, 11/19 from 1 AM to 5 AM



3) *Above the Bridge Writers' Cafe *Come join us this Monday night to hear
neighborhood folk reading their wonderful work on the theme "Thanks, but No
Thanks." Featuring the writings of: James Aronson; Elise Cagan; Kathleen
Crisci; Alison Loeb; Judith Michael; Emma Poole. At Le Cheile, 839 W. 181st
St. @ Cabrini Boulevard. $5 cover (cash only). RSVP to

4) *Enrollment Awareness Event *Presented by the Medicare Rights Center.
Join us to learn about changes to Medicare taking place in 2015. Get
connected to programs that help pay the costs associated with Medicare.
Medicare 2015 update / Medicare savings programs extra help for the Part D
prescription drug benefit. At the Isabella Geriatric Center, 515 Audubon

5)* Shakespeare Saturdays *will present the beautiful staged reading
"Famous Shakespeare Scenes and Songs".  Come see the Balcony Scene, the
Sleepwalking Scene, and other popular scenes by beloved characters-
Falstaff, Hamlet, Shylock, and Bottom!  Featuring these talented actors:
 Ray Allen Fritz, Ali Ryan, Anita Abraham, Ross Hewitt and Vincent Saia.
Music composed by Donna Kendall Stearns.  It takes place at The Inwood
Library, 4790 Broadway (between Dyckman & Cummings Streets)-Downstairs
Auditorium.  Free and open to the public. *November 8th, 3:30pm - 4:30pm.*



6) *Castle Village Holiday Gift and Craft Extravaganza *at the Castle
Village Community Room, 110 Cabrini Blvd. (just north of W. 181st St.).
There will be hand-made jewelry, pottery, cards, boxes, knitted items, and
not African and Indian goods. Open to the public; no admission charge. *Sunday,
November 23, noon - 5pm.*
