Dear Friend:
[cid:1FEE0D9A-63A7-4F02-9C11-DB1B673E6EEE at nyc.rr.com]
Our friends Lisa Zaccaglini and Mike Schuster from Sharon Springs Against Hydrofracking are pictured here sporting the signs they’re bringing to Albany on June 17.

It’s less than a week until New York Crossroads, our historic rally against fracking and for renewable energy! We have an incredible line up of speakers, over 100 organizations involved, and buses coming from across the state. And, most importantly, we’ve got YOU.

It’s absolutely essential that the incredible diversity of our movement’s communities and constituencies be represented in Albany – and as visibly, loudly, and proudly as possible.

If you’re a teacher, farmer, or nurse, bring a sign that says so. If you’re from Brooklyn, Binghamton, or Buffalo, let us know! If you’re a student, person of faith, or concerned grandmother, make it known. You get the idea. Our movement crosses many different lines, and we need to show that New Yorkers from all walks of life are among our ranks.

Bring your signs, your banners, your musical instruments, your family, friends, and neighbors. And, most importantly, bring your motivations and concerns.

New York Crossroads is going to be a fun, exciting, and powerful event – one that will send a strong message to Governer Cuomo and kick off a Summer of Action Against Fracking.

But it’s also essential to be prepared for what will be a long, perhaps hot day. So please also bring the following:
· lunch
· snacks
· water
· sunscreen

The rally will begin at noon and last about an hour-and-a-half. Following the rally will be a short march around the Capitol. At that point, it will be close to 3:00 pm, when most of the buses will be departing. However, if you’re able to stay longer, we’ll be going into the Capitol for a brief action. If you have any questions about the day, please email:organizers at nyagainstfracking.org<mailto:organizers at nyagainstfracking.org>.

In the meantime, get ready to represent at this amazing event – and please continue to reach out to your community to attend!

See you on Monday!
