Dear Lizabeth,

The Florida legal system has failed to provide justice for Trayvon Martin.  
But we have only just begun the fight to honor his memory and change a  
system that leaves countless young men of color around the nation vulnerable.  
The injustice done to Trayvon and his family must be a spark that  ignites a 
national effort to change the laws permitting vigilante shootings.  This 
case should motivate us to stop at nothing to end racial  profiling--including 
here in New York City.  There will be a  candlelight vigil for Trayvon 
tonight, in West Harlem, and another tomorrow,  in Washington Heights.  Please 
join me and other local leaders as we  gather to honor his memory.
