[BwayDems] Zead Ramadan Drops Lawsuit Against Mark Levine

We received news Friday morning that Zead Ramadan has dropped his baseless lawsuit trying to throw Mark Levine off the ballot, and subpoenaing around 30 community residents to appear in State Supreme Court to answer charges that they had committed electoral fraud. This means that all the subpoenas are "quashed" and nobody has to go to court.
 
We knew that at some point the case would be ended: the subpoenas were an awful perversion of the democratic process. We had hoped that Ramadan would have accompanied his action with a magnanimous statement that this was a rookie mistake, confusing Supreme Court proceedings with normal Board of Elections challenges, and that he never meant to impugn the very same community residents that he wishes to serve. Having resoundingly won our point, and scored a great victory for community residents who wish to freely participate in the political process, it is now time for us to be magnanimous.

The court fight is over, let the campaign begin!
