ASSEMBLY MEMBER O'DONNELL'S UPCOMING READING CELEBRATIONS

Join Assembly Member O'Donnell for an afternoon of entertainment, healthy snacks,
and door prizes to celebrate reading in New York City!  Participants in Assembly
 Member O'Donnell's Community Reading  Challenge, as well as any other interested
students and their parents,  are invited to join Assembly Member O'Donnell at three
local New York  Public Library branches for a fun Book Festival! Celebrated storyteller
 LuAnn will use puppets, music, and plenty of audience participation to  bring stories
of old and new New York to life, from an Algonquin Cinderella story to the mystery
of How Pizza Came to Queens.

2012 SUMMER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

summer internship program from individuals who are high school age or over. To apply,

FREE COMPUTER & ELECTRONICS RECYCLING EVENT

As part of the Columbus-Amsterdam BID's  Manhattan Valley Family Days, Upper West
Side Recycling is accepting  computers and electronics for recycling on Sunday, 
May 20th, from 12 to 5PM (rain or shine). The collection site will be at Amsterdam
Avenue & 110th Street (south side).

The  group will accept computers and electronics, including both working and  nonworking
computers, monitors, printers, keyboards, TV's, stereo  equipment, DVD players, 
and cell phones, among other items. They cannot, however, take  some electronic 
goods such as appliances (microwaves, toasters, etc.)  or air conditioners, among
other items.

Upper West  Side Recycling is also looking for volunteers. If you would like to 
help out  with this recycling event or would like more information about the  recyclables

PS 75 SPRING FAIR 2012
"A DAY OF FUN, GAMES, AND COMMUNITY WELLNESS"

PS 75 is hosting its annual Spring Fair on June 9th, 2012. Come join PS 75 for fun,
games and community wellness! It will take place on 95th Street between West End
 Avenue and Riverside Drive, on Saturday, June 9th from 12 to 4PM.

This  year's Spring Fair is free to attend and will include craft activities,  bouncy
rides, DJ music, an international food court, local vendors, a  rummage sale, and
much more. Additionally, this year PS 75 has added two  new components-a health 
fair and a green fair. The health fair will  include free health screenings and 
practical tips for a healthier  community. The green fair will help educate our 
community on ways to be  more environmentally responsible inside and outside the
 classroom.

FREE OVERLOOK CONCERT SERIES

The Riverside Park Fund is sponsoring a FREE concert series for interested community
members.

The concerts will take place in Lower Riverside Park at 116th   Street. The concerts
begin at 2:00 PM.
