Congressman Gutierrez to Join Press Conference Outside Ascension Church in Support
of City Council Immigration Legislation

Chicago Congressman Luis Gutierrez is coming to the West Side this Sunday, October
2nd to stand in support of legislation introduced by Melissa, Speaker Quinn and

that will limit the way the NYC Department of Correction collaborates with immigration
enforcement agents in our city's jails. Congressman Gutierrez, Speaker Quinn and
 Melissa will attend the 9:30 am mass at Ascension Church on W. 107th Street between
Broadway and Amsterdam, and following the mass, will hold a press conference outside
of the church at 10:45 am.
