Featured product: Radial gates
------------------------------------------------------

If you've seen a working dam -- especially one that produces
hydroelectric power, you've probably seen radial gates. These are
designed to be mounted in wide, unobstructed waterways and spillways,
and their curved discs transfer the hydraulic load of the water upstream
through spanning ribs into the radial arms. The curved gates in turn
transfer the load through trunnion pins into heavy abutments. This holds
back a considerable amount of water, while allowing measurable and
predictable volumes through.

Radial gates can be operated by electric or manual actuators, operating
through a cable drum hoist. Position indicators, limit and torque
switches, and automated controls for opening and closing, are all
available.
