QCrypt 2026 to be Hosted in Ottawa

Dear QCrypt Community,

On behalf of the QCrypt Steering Committee (SC), I am pleased to announce
that QCrypt 2026 will be hosted in Ottawa, Canada. After a thorough
evaluation of the submitted proposals, the SC selected Ottawa for its
strong scientific and institutional support, well-organised plan, and
excellent accessibility from around the world.

Congratulations to Anne-Frédérique Thibodeau and Anne Broadbent (University
of Ottawa), Khabat Heshami (NRC), Connor Kupchak (Carleton University), and
Ebrahim Karimi (Nexus for Quantum Technologies), who will collaborate to
bring QCrypt 2026 to the community.

The conference will take place from August 24–28, 2026. Further details on
registration, venues, and accommodations will be provided in due course.

The SC would like to express its gratitude to all teams that submitted
proposals. The quality of submissions was exceptional, making this a
difficult decision. We greatly appreciate the time, effort, and dedication
demonstrated by all applicants and look forward to their continued
contributions to the QCrypt community.
