announcement of QCrypt 2017, and call for proposals to host QCrypt 2018

[QCrypt Steering Committee]

Dear colleagues,

The QCrypt steering committee would like to announce next year's
conference: QCrypt 2017 will be held in Cambridge UK on September 18–22,
2017. It will be hosted by the UK Quantum Communications Hub
(http://www.quantumcommshub.net/). More details will be available on the
website http://2017.qcrypt.net/ soon.

In addition, we would like to request proposals to host the following
year's conference in 2018. The selection will be handled in a two-step
process: If you are interested, please write a short (max 1-page) letter
of intent describing the name and affiliation of the main organizer,
possible conference dates, and location and size of intended conference
venue. We especially encourage proposals to host QCrypt 2018 on a
different continent from QCrypt 2017 (Europe) and QCrypt 2016 (North
America).

Please send this letter of intent to <prop2018 at qcrypt.net> no later than
Friday, October 14, 2016. Also, feel free to email if you have any
questions. In a second step, the steering committee will ask the top
contenders to work out a full proposal.
