Announcing the Latest Book!
WHEN THINKING GOES DEEP
It's human nature to identify yourself with your conscious thinking. It
makes sense. After all, "You are what you think about all day." And, "As
you think, so you are." Yet there's more to you than your conscious
thoughts. Actually, the majority of your "thoughts" are not conscious.
Since the conscious part of your mind very limited and is easily
overwhelmed, most of your knowledge, understandings, identity, memories,
etc. are unconscious.
Yet the unconscious thoughts are no longer "thoughts" as we normally think
about thoughts, but bodily feelings-somatic responses and "knowledge" that
is stored kinesthetically as sensations in your body. Amazing things happen
in the process. First, your conscious thoughts seek to become unconscious.
While you continue to "think," you now do so unconsciously. Instead your
habit formations allow you to do hundreds of things without thinking about
them. They also allow you to store in memory what you learn consciously and
to retrieve that information as you need it.
Your thinking inevitably goes deep into the unconscious aspect of your
singular 'mind' which frees you so that you can attend to more, learn more,
develop more skills, etc. Then you incorporate your learnings and skills so
they become deeply installed inside creating levels of competence, even
expertise. When done well, it gives you dependable intuitions for highly
effective performances.
Productivity depends on these two aspects of your 'mind' to work together
collaboratively. The conscious part searches, questions, and tests, the
unconscious part records, stores, and programs. Together they create the
synergy of excellence. Out-of-balance and they create inner conflict,
psycho-somatic diseases, self-sabotage programs, and much more. As you
discover ways to access your unconscious intelligence, you will solve
problems more effectively, you will be more productive. You will experience
inner harmony rather than conflicts. You will be more whole, integrated,
and congruent. All that when your thinking goes deep!
This is now on the Shop --- we have not yet published it. I set out to
write about Unconscious Thinking . and it evolved. And now you can find out
how and why.
