IN A CHAOTIC WORLD

 

What was Fritz Perls and Virginia Satir after as each of them took a
different route to actualizing one's authentic self?  Both were second
generation leaders in the 1960s/ 1970s Human Potential Movement which was
launched through the discoveries of Abraham Maslow and Carl Rogers.  And
what was Maslow and Rogers after?  How did they conceptualize the abstract
idea of 'self-acutalization?'  The answer is actually pretty simple.  They
envisioned people becoming "fully functioning" (Rogers) or "full alive,
fully human" (Maslow). 

 

Maslow and Rogers believed that there is within every person the power to
understand life and to live fully by tapping into that power and unleashing
it.  So did Perls and Satir.  If the NLP founders and developers modeled
Perls and Satir, then is it any wonder then that NLP became a model of
unleashing human potential and power?  I think not.  And that's why in
updating the NLP Model I've put empowerment as the first and primary
application.

 

Because the world as we know it is chaotic having so many factors and so
many players, no wonder we can never know the future or predict the future.
Given all of the variables, who knows what is going to happen?  And when you
don't know what the future holds or what will happen-feeling safe in a
stable environment is difficult.  It is especially difficult if you are
looking for safety and stability outside!

 

But what if you were to look inside?  What if a true sense of safety and the
way to stabilize your life comes from the inside and is inside-out?  Not
surprisingly, this is what NLP offers.  Via your neurology and your
linguistics, you can program your thinking, emoting, speaking, and acting in
such a way as to create an inner sense of power and stability.  And that, in
fact, is how the updated version of NLP will be presented.

 

The presentation has been designed so that you will begin to experience the
power of your neurology to access and unleash your inner hidden powers
(potentials) as a human being.  Then with the power of your linguistics, you
will experience the power of ordering your inner world with clarity and
precision unleashing your linguistic capacities.  Then together, you will
experience how to use your linguistics and neurology to establish powerful
programs so that you can be effective and efficient at what you do consider
important.

 

Personal Empowerment effectively summarizes the essence of NLP and its
focus.  It is focused on empowering you to finally achieve what the old
Human Potential Movement sought but never found- how to unleash a person's
powers.  When you discover this, you can then live your life productively
