MY EXPERIENCE THE FIRST TIME AT NSTT
When I got to know NLP and Neuro-Semantics for the first time, it was
when, after a long insistence from a friend, I decided to take the
Practitioner with a Colombian trainer who did not give me a very good
impression at first, not because the trainer had any negative feature
itself, but because I had a head full of noise back then and labeled
people immediately.
After 90 minutes of the first NLP class, the trainer was introducing the
presuppositions of NLP and when he started to explain and give examples
of the presupposition that says "the map is not the territory", it was
truly eye opening for me. I understood that I was being a victim of my
own maps, even in those exact moments of judging the instructor and the
other participants in the group.
That was one of the most revealing moments of my life, so much so that
it marked the destiny of the next stage of my life.
I felt so passionate about NLP and Neuro-Semantics, that in addition to
finishing both: Practitioner and the Master Practitioner, I started to
train practitioner intuitively and free of charge with the employees who
reported to me in my work at that time.
A short time later I moved to another city and returned to my hometown,
where I got a job that served me as a springboard to start training
basic communication skills and healthy relationship courses. Until I
decided to talk to that Colombian instructor who had become one of my
best friends: Omar Salom, to raise the possibility of facilitating
practitioner with his endorsement for certification.
Omar spoke with Michael Hall, who authorized us to work temporarily
under this scheme: me giving 100% of the training and Omar evaluating
the group and my work.
My passion for this job grew more and more and my desire to become
certified as a Neuro-Semantics Trainer was fixed in my mind. So, a year
and a half after working on this scheme with Omar Salom, I finally
decided to take NSTT in New Zealand.
Something that few people know is that I did not have the money to pay
for the training or my round-trip flight, nor my hotel accommodation;
but none of that was reason enough not to go to the other side of the
world and get certified as a Trainer. By the way, that was the first
time I traveled to the other side of the world.
I asked my in-laws for help, who kindly provided me with their credit
card to buy flights, book the hotel and pay the training fees. And
despite knowing that I was getting into debt, I had the certainty in my
heart that it was the best decision I was making and that in a short
time I would be paying off my debt and earning enough money to change
the lifestyle of myself and my family.
I had some big changes in NSTT training in New Zealand, but definitely
one of the most significant ones was getting comfortable and resourceful
being observed and benchmarked by highly trained people like Colin Cox
and Michael Hall.
Having presented so many times and under truly uncomfortable
circumstances, it made me expand myself to the point of flow under any
circumstance.
Something fantastic is that what I developed during the 15 days of
training, in a controlled environment, I began to put into practice
immediately after returning from that extraordinary trip to New Zealand.
And best of all, is that in 5 months I was able to fully pay off my debt
with my in-laws, and I did it through my first two public trainings as
an Neuro-Semantics trainer.
Finally, another of the added values of having taken NSTT was that I got
in touch with people from different parts of the world and soon after I
began to travel to do Neuro-Semantics training in different countries of
the world.
I am convinced that this is an opportunity that cannot be missed, and
that is why I want to urge you that if it has been one of your
aspirations or one of your dreams to become a world-class trainer, then
come and join the fabulous group of people who are ready for NSTT in
Cancun this May.
