HOW TO AVOID NLP PAPER MILLS

After sending out the post on the a person in California selling NLP
Certificates for $67 and lowering the Standards as well as inviting people
to mis-represent themselves ---- half a dozen other readers of Neurons sent
me information about others doing similar things:

. Brian Proctor endorsing selling NLP Certificates for $77 in Canada
. at Insight of the Day.

. George Faddoul and Roberta Faddoul in Australia giving free Prac.
Scholarship invitations and Certification only for $97.

I was genuinely embarrassed when I went to some of the websites that were
sent to me to check things out to hear some of the ridiculous claims that
are being made. There are people over-selling NLP, over-promising on
things that they cannot deliver on and making outrageous claims about fast
cures.

So what to do??

If you are looking for solid NLP Training ---ask lots and lots of questions.
How?? I'd recommend that you get one of the basic NLP Introduction
books----

. You can get ours --- User's Manual of the Brain, Volume I

. Or you can get Introducing NLP (O'Connor and Seymour), NLP for
Dummies, etc.

Then you can ask such questions as:

. Do you cover the Meta-Model for precision questioning skills?

. Do you cover and train in the Strategy Model for modeling?

. Do you cover the basic NLP patterns in Sourcebook of Magic (1997,
Crown House Pub.)

. Do you cover the Time-Lines Model?

. What is your focus and theme--- therapy, business, coaching,
self-development?

. How do you assess the competency of the knowledge and skills
developed?

. Do all people pass or is there a competency requirement? If so,
what?

. What kind of support is there afterwards?

. Who are 5 students in this area that I can call and talk to about
you as a trainer you're your training organization?

. Do you have a money back guarantee after the first day?

. What International NLP organization are you associated with?

. Do they have a policy and process for holding members accountable
to a code of ethics? How do I get ahold of them?

The market will eventually weed out those who are not provide good value or
ethical practice. In the meantime, the more informed you are and the
smarter you encourage others to be --- the better for all.

False Representations and Lowering NLP Standards -Again!

Just when I think I have seen some really bad examples of misusing NLP or
lowering standards, someone else excels that misuse! This week a reader of
Neurons wrote and sent the following about someone now "selling" NLP
Certifications for $67. That's right, selling Certifications! Like the
"Paper Mills" on the internet selling University Degrees for the purpose of
creating a false presentation, faking out people that they have a level of
credibility that they do not, so now we have someone (who I don't know and
never heard of) doing the same with "NLP Practitioner Certification." And
to further the sham Certification, they have added a fake name like
"American University of ..." Well, that's just a business name and no
University! It is designed only to create the image of credibility, not the
reality.

NLP, legitimately presented, involves a whole discipline of instruction and
hands-on experience. For the content information, you can find the entire
Practitioner course in the book, User's Manual of the Brain, Volume I. But
reading the book alone will not a Practitioner make you. Nor will watching
videos do it. To truly know NLP in a way that you can actually do it and
have competent skill with it requires experiential learning and for most of
us, it takes repeatedly learning over years of practice.

Already there are far too many people with the "Certificate" who cannot
effectively do NLP and especially do it on themselves!

I don't know who any of these people are, they may be legitimate in
themselves, I don't know. But what they are doing in selling Certificates
for $67 is a shame to the field and serves to cheapen the field, lower the
standards, and undermine the legitimate uses of NLP. So beware of any NLP
Training sold as a Certificate or a home study guide- that is not the way
you will develop competency with it.

THE SALES LETTER THAT "SELLS" NLP TO
CREATE A FALSE REPRESENTATION

- [The contact information has been removed!]

Your NLP Certificate

Starting your own business or even looking to create even an extra stream of
income takes time, energy, resources and commitment.

I've made hundreds of thousands of dollars over the internet...so I KNOW
what's required to get RESULTS. I don't know conceptually...I know through
EXPERIENCE. One of the bests things you can do is "keep educating yourself"
and keep growing. I'm not talking about the kind of educating that's
'medicating.' I'm talking about equipping your mind for a particular
PURPOSE.

If you want to create additional income and you don't know WHAT to sell or
HOW to get started, I recommend you take Steve Jones' NLP Certification
course. This will give you added credibility in your marketplace, BOOST your
self-confidence, and open new doors to revenue for you.

AND...if you're an aspiring:
1. Author 2. Speaker or
3. Success Coach

Then you DEFINITELY want to get NLP Certified and tag that distinction to
the end of your name.

In the past, people have spent at least $3,000 to get their NLP Practitioner
Certification.

Originally, the American University of Neuro Linguistic Programming (AUNLP -
the special university that Steve had founded) offers this certification
course for six hundred plus dollars. Why pay thousands or even hundreds
when he's practically giving it away for pennies?

I've already started going through the course myself and I recommend you get
right on this. Getting Certified as an NLP Practitioner for $67?

Unheard of! I don't know how long this will be in effect so if you go to
the link below and it doesn't say $67 anymore, don't blame me... Become
Certified For Pennies [90% Off!]

Have a Powerful Monday!
