The competitive advantage: Affecting 
leadership for a continuous improvement cultureis a book about a model for 
affecting leadership in such a way that they engender a cultural revolution that 
supports the process of continuous improvement. The model is a prescription of a 
gestalt that can be created that offers one more competitive advantage, that is, 
the development of a continuous improvement culture. 


This book is about the facilitation 
of a process that is systemic in nature. This book garners relevant information 
from many different sources and from many different cultures (management theory, leadership theory, performance theory, psychological theory etc.). This book is 
about a system that uses and facilitates the latest (which also includes seminal 
thinkers) theories and applications and integrates them into a workable model 
that will give you a competitive advantage of continuous improvement through the 
means of affecting the leadership of the organization. This book is both theory 
and practice. It lays out a path and a model for developing a culture, through 
leadership, of continuous improvement. In this book you will find old and new 
ideas. It is not the ideas that will make this happen; many have these ideas but 
still cannot translate them into a workable continuous improvement culture, it 
is the synthesis of these ideas into a model of a new gestalt that will have a 
competitive advantage of effective leadership.
 
This book will focus on several key 
themes and from those themes a workable, applicable, and relevant model will 
emerge. The key themes in this book are culture, leadership, cognition to 
behavior, continuous improvement, self-actualization, and coaching using the 
Meta-Coaching Model.
