Geeklog 1.7.0 beta 1 has now been released:

As usual, the language files have been updated to include all the new
text strings in English so that you "only" need to translate them.

There were also some other changes that I'd like to point out:

- I don't know how if this issue existed in any other language, but the
English language files have been cleaned up now to consistently use
"Username" (one word) everywhere (previous versions used both "user
name" and "username").

- The Gravatar Rating options are now part of the language file (for a
dropdown in the Configuration). They are using the rating scheme that's
commonly used for movies in the USA (G, PG, R, X). Unless there is an
equivalent rating scheme used in your country, I'd suggest to simply
leave them as they are (i.e. not translate them). Please note that you
can not add or remove entries - Gravatar will only recognize these 4 options.

- Geeklog 1.7.0 now also supports PostgreSQL databases. There are new
text strings referring to the Postgres support, but the string $LANG_HELP
['db_type'] in the installer language files has to be updated to mention
PostgreSQL (it currently only mentions MySQL and MS SQL).

More information about updating the language files can be found on the
Geeklog wiki: http://wiki.geeklog.net/index.php/Translations

We plan to release the final version of Geeklog 1.7.0 some time in
April, near the end of the month. I'll post a note on this list when we
have decided on a release date. At this point, I wouldn't expect this to
be before April 25, though.

Any updated or new translations can be either sent to this list, to me,
or uploaded on geeklog.net, as usual.

Thank you!

bye, Dirk
