[BwayDems] THE BROADWAY DEMOCRATS ENDORSE HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT!

At a spirited meeting last night the club endorsed Hillary Clinton's
candidacy for President of the United States. Attendance was down a little,
perhaps because of the cold, but those who were there had a thoughtful,
respectful, informed, and sometimes passionate discussion that, I think,
really showed our club at its finest.

*The final tally:*
*Clinton - 19*
*Sanders - 12*
*No endorsement - 2*

Several speakers expressed the difficulty they had in choosing between
Secretary Clinton and Senator Sanders, both of whom have much to commend
them. In any event, we can all be happy with the real substantive
discussion that has been the hallmark of their contest so far, and we look
forward to that continuing - both on the national stage and here on the
Upper West Side.

Keep in touch with us about ways to get more involved as we move into the
spring and summer. For now, kudos to Katie Hanner, Dan Zweig, Paula Diamond
Roman, Amy Porter, Luis Roman, and Curtis Arluck for their work making
everything function last night, and special thanks to Richard Siegel for
the excellent job he did moderating the discussion.
