Rally to Launch the Campaign for Rent Regulation & Home
Rule
Labor unions, community based
organizations, tenant associations and other housing advocates are gathering on
the steps of

City
Hall
Thursday,
March 6 at 11am

New
York's Rent Regulation Laws Will Expire Next Year
If the
landlords get their way it could mean the end of Rent Stabilization and Rent
Control. Unfortunately, because the City does not have home rule, the decision
will be made in Albany, not City Hall where it belongs.

Co-Op
and Condo Owners Have A Stake
Imagine the impact on labor costs if
the rents of the people who work in, and service, your building suddenly go to
market rates. What will happen to prices where you shop if the store clerks can
no longer afford their homes?

There is an old saying in New York
that one way or another, everyone is working for the landlords. This is true,
but do we want to work even harder for them, much harder?

Join with unions, housing groups and
community organizations to extend rent regulations, win protections for market
rate tenants and get home rule. For more information, contact us at jaron at metcouncilonhousing.org.
