>We will stand as one voice against gun violence.  On Thursday, March 21st, thousands of survivors, advocates, youth, community and religious organizations, union members, families, doctors, teachers, artists and more will come together as one unified voice on behalf of common-sense gun laws.

>Our massive coalition includes Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in  America, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, Harlem Mothers  S.A.V.E., New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, Doctors for America – NY  State Chapter, 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, Million Mom  March and many other groups.

>The coalition supports the NY SAFE ACT, a sensible law that limits the sale of military-style weapons and high capacity ammunition magazines, requires background checks on the sales of all guns, requires recertification of handgun permits in every county, encourages safe storage of guns and keeps guns out of the hands of criminals.  We thank Governor Cuomo and the NYS Legislature for passing this Act.  We want to carry our message across the country, urging the federal government and other states to use this smart new law as a model for a safer tomorrow.
