I want to share with you the big events I have planned for March in the 
31st Senate District:  
 
Thursday, March 10th, 7:30 pm 
Town Hall at the Riverdale YM-YWHA     
I invite you, along with Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz and City Council Member Oliver Koppel, to take part in an open forum to define the priorities of our community. Come share your thoughts on issues such as the City and State budgets, neighborhood school funding, tenant protection laws, job creation and economic development.

Wednesday, March 16th, 8:30 am-12 pm
Northern Manhattan Small Business Fair
I will be co-hosting the Northern Manhattan Small Business Fair with the Manhattan Times, the Washington Heights - Inwood Chamber of Commerce, and Work Space. Come network with other local entrepreneurs and help build the business community in Washington Heights and Inwood.  Also, enter to win a free iPad!

Thursday, March 17th,  6-9 pm 
Screening of "Gerrymandering" the Movie and Discussion Panel 
Join me with special guests Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries, Blair Horner of NYPIRG and Rachael Fauss of Citizen's Union for a screening of Jeff Reichert's film "Gerrymandering", and a discussion panel about redistricting in New York State.

Sunday, March 20th, 11 am-1 pm
Upper West Side Satellite Office - Open House 
To kick off my new Upper West Side satellite office, at the district office of Council Member Gale Brewer, I will be holding an open house for constituents to stop by and meet me and my staff, who will be on hand Mondays of each week.  (To contact me at this office, you can call 347-994-8351)

Thursday, March 24th, 7-9pm
Forum on Education
Education is a tremendously important topic throughout the State, and in my district.  Take part in a conversation about issues such as class size, charter schools, Mayoral control and standardized testing.  I will be joined by representatives from the NY Board of Regents, NYC Department of Education, United Federation of Teachers, District 3 CEC, District 6 CEC,  Chancellor's Parents Advisory Council and the Alliance for Quality Education.
