Broadway Democrats is as active as ever and we need your help so that we may continue to champion the Democratic agenda for justice and prosperity for all New Yorkers. On Sunday, May 2, 2010, Broadway Democrats will host its annual Spring Fling, at the popular Upper West Side restaurant, 107 West, 2787 Broadway, between 106th and 107th Streets, from 1:00-4:00 pm.
 
The year, Broadway Democrats will honor two individuals, Councilwomen, E. Inez Dickens and Melissa Mark Viverito and one organization, the Morningside Heights-West Harlem Sanitation Coalition, that have had real effect on our lives. The club will present its Annual Award to our Councilwomen, E. Inez Dickens and Melissa Mark Viverito, for their work serving our community, as well as serving as role models for girls and women in community service and political activism. The Club will present the Ida and Jesse Frankel Community Service Award to the Morningside Heights-West Harlem Sanitation Coalition for their innovative and inspiring recycling initiative in General Grant Houses.
 
New York, and the nation, stand at a crossroads. We must stand up on behalf of the candidates who will fight for our progressive agenda in Albany and Washington. We hope that you can attend our benefit in order to support all of the upcoming work we will be doing on the 2010 campaigns in order to support Democratic candidates who will move New York State and the nation forward.
 
2010 promises to be a remarkable year for Democrats in New York, and around the country. We hope that you will take this opportunity to contribute to the success of this event as:
