Hello,

 

Congressman Charles B. Rangel invites you to listen to his opening
remarks as he addresses a financial literacy forum this Saturday,
February 20 at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture (515
Malcolm X Boulevard, corner of 135th St.) from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

 

"Your Money & You" is aimed at helping residents learn how to access
resources to support their financial needs in these economically
challenging times. The event is free and open to the public.

 

"Your Money & You" will feature keynote remarks by Department of
Consumer Affairs Commissioner Jonathan Mintz and a panel moderated by
Daily News columnist Errol Louis that will feature executives from
Carver Bank and SBLI, as well as non-profit leaders from the Food Bank
of NYC and Coalition for Debtor Education.

 

The event will also feature information on saving money and building
wealth, including a booth from NYS Comptroller's Your Money New York
Program. The state outreach initiative helps provide reliable financial
information to consumers, as well as help them claim funds from any
potential dormant accounts.
